Where to put the files
The biggest problem reported by downloaders of facepacks and other graphics is "where do I put them"? Its actually very simple.
In the case of facepacks you do not need a specific facepacks folder however to make things straight forward we will say you should.
Scenario, you have installed windows XP on your C drive, your location would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\Yourname\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\graphics\facepacks
Some users will not see graphics so go to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Yourname\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\
Right click and select - New - Folder and name it 'graphics'. Now go into this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Yourname\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\graphics\
Right click again and select - New - Folder and name it 'facepacks'.
Now your folder is all setup.
In windows Vista its pretty much the same setup, install to your documents folder, the paths are named slightly different.
How to unpack files
If you're unsure how to use winrar or winzip to unpack files then read our guide here.
In game settings to enable skins
For facepacks to show you must make sure you have some options selected in preferences in the game.
1. Show backrounds must be Ticked.
2. Skin cache must be Unticked.
3. Reload skin on confirm Ticked (If the game is open as you install)
Thats it, any problems you can always post on our forums here
