The Southend United challenge is the first of our challenges. The idea is bring Southend United upto a level they have never been before. Check out the challenge details and see if you can complete it.

Southend United have a fairly small fan base of around 10,000 people so it just won't reach the heights of teams in London or other major cities but potentially it could get 20,000 a game in the long term.

Southend is a beach town at the South East of England and is still popular for Londoners to have a nice weekend away from the busy city.

The Manager

You take over as the character John Gangly our challenge manager. John is an old skool manager, he is all about motivation and motivation not tactics and technique.

Your Challenge

You're challenge is to bring Southend United into the Premier league within 5 years and to then keep them up in their first season. You start off with no money to spend and a squad tipped to possibly get into the playoffs but this isn't a certainty.

The second part of the challenge and maybe the hardest is you must get to the Semi Final of one of the domestic cups within this time.

Both of these challenges have never been produced in real life so can you do it?
