Below is a bit of our newsletter #5 released this past weekend. One item of the newsletter was an interview with Łukasz Kamiński from what was formally FMPoland.com. Łukasz makes various add on content for FM2008 including databases and facepacks. These files can be found in our download database.

Can you let others know a little about you? What do you do for a profession?

At the moment I am a student of the American School of Warsaw. I'm doing International Baccalaureate and I have my graduation next month.

What team do you support?

I think that everybody knows team named Legia Warszawa. It is my favourite football club. Also I like and dislike other teams, but Legia is something more. I support teams like Athletico de Madrid, FC Barcelona and Manchester.

What leagues do you watch and what's your favorite?

Obviously, I watch polish league which is very corrupt. I like French, English and Spanish leagues as well. I hate watching Italian and German leagues which in my opinion are boring.

What is your role at fmpoland?

I'm editor-in-chief at FMPoland. I write some texts, news and I coordinate the FMPoland Update. Of course, there are so many things to do at FMPoland when you hold a responsible position as editor-in-chief.

Is the Polish FM community big?

The Polish Community is quite big, but it is incomparably smaller than English. Five large sites - FMPoland, CM Revolution, FCMC, FM Site and Centrum FM; three large forums - ForumCM, FMForum and ForumFM; also so many blogs of the important editors from our community.

You make very good facepacks, how much time does it take to make one?

Actually, I don't make them now. We have few facepack makers who are doing that and my task is to publish them. But it doesn't take much time to make them, only difficulty is to find adequate pictures.

What do you use to make these? Photoshop?

Of course, Photoshop is the best program to play with graphic.

You make the FMPoland date update, is this just to update Polish data or all?

No, we update all leagues we can. But the best updated is Polish data because we know almost everything about it. However, to satisfy polish users of FM we have to update other leagues, because in Poland we have three diffrent data updates and they have to choose one.

What is to come in the update in later versions?

Hmm, I think that there is readme in english ;> But we try to add new players, new clubs, new media to the game to make it more friendly and realistic for the users of Football Manager.

About FM

Do you think Sigames/SEGA are supporting webmasters well?

In my humble opinion, they don't. At the beginning we had help and news from them but now - nothing. I don't know why, but I think that they don't care about us - people creating the community, scene.

What do you think would be a great idea to improve interaction between SI and the community sites?

I don't have any idea.

What did you think of FM2008?

Would you like to know the truth? I have played it one time. Currently I'm bored of Football Manager, also I don't have time for it.

What was your favorite version of FM?

Difficult question. All of them are great. I like Championship Manager 00/01 and every following version.
